ABOUT THIS EVENT:
As the name implies, the focus is on “trying” rather than winning, on camaraderie rather than competition, on personal challenge rather than place of finish. Assemble a team of two or three people. Run, paddle, and bike your way to the finish! Or, if you feel energetic, complete all three legs of the event as a solo participant. The landscape of the park makes this a great spectator event too!
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Traverse a mixture of park roads and trails around the perimeter of the lake for 5 kilometers. Paddle around temporary markers in the lake for approximately 1.75 miles. Bike on hard top and dirt roads in and around the park for 8.0 miles. All routes will remain the same as in recent years. The new event also includes a 5K stand-alone option that starts at the same time and location as the TRYathlon and follows the same course.
OTHER DETAILS:
Since 2015 there are NO CATEGORIES – all participants who finish will be recognized!
